5k Route

The image is a map displaying a running or walking route around Lake Phalen in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The route is highlighted in red and loops around Phalen Regional Park, following the shoreline of Lake Phalen. Three numbered markers (1, 2, and 3) are placed at different points along the course, possibly indicating mile markers or key locations. The surrounding area includes neighborhoods like East Phalen and Prosperity Heights, major roads like I-35E and Highway 61, and nearby landmarks such as Aldrich Ice Arena, Goodrich Park, and Arlington/Arkwright Off-Leash Dog Park. The map suggests a well-maintained, scenic course for outdoor recreation.
The image is an elevation profile chart for a route, displaying the elevation changes over distance. The x-axis represents the distance in miles (ranging from 0 to approximately 2.4 miles), and the y-axis represents elevation in feet (ranging from 761 ft to 965 ft). The starting elevation is 849 ft. The maximum elevation is 883 ft. The total elevation gain over the course is 64 ft. The profile shows a relatively flat course with some minor undulations, indicating small rolling hills but no significant climbs or descents. This suggests a relatively easy and steady route, likely suitable for running or cycling.
