The AdaptXpo is an adaptive sports, fitness, and assistive technology showcase. We invite individuals and organizations who are building accessible products, advocating for inclusion, and/or creating adaptive sport opportunities to share their work.
The goal is to connect companies with the consumers that would benefit from their products and services so that it’s mutually beneficial for both our Unified 5k participants and our expo partners. Just as the Unified 5k has grown in its scope and offerings, we have plans to do the same with the AdaptXpos. We want to create an experience that as a standalone event, would attract people, even those not participating in the road race.
The expo advances our mission by aligning with the pillars of AdaptX.
The expo clinics educate our Unified 5k participants and spectators about the power and performance of adaptive sports and our vendors share their innovative products and services with the target audience that they aim to support. These organizations advocate for inclusion and accessibility across industries and environments. At AdaptX, we don’t view like-minded non-profits as competitors, but opportunities to collaborate. These organizations are doing incredible work to create opportunities for people with intellectual and physical disabilities to be more active and included in their communities.
While the primary objective is to advance our mission and develop strategic partnerships with vendors, the expo also addresses one of the challenges with a typical charity 5k. There is a lot of empty space – participants arrive 45-60 minutes early to pick up their bib and avoid the long lines, and then just stand around and wait for the race to begin. After finishing, participants might have another 30 to 60 minutes of downtime before the awards ceremony begins.
The AdaptXpo fills that space while also providing a ton of value to participants and hopefully, our vendors. If you would like to be a vendor at a 2025 Unified 5k and AdaptXpo, fill out the contact form here.
